Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the execution of numerous significant product initiatives

• Design and uphold the Ruby on Rails product platform

• Deliver product enhancements promptly while ensuring high code quality

• Create solutions aimed at promoting student wellbeing and addressing school-related challenges

• Engage in ongoing discovery and Shape Up product development processes

• Enhance development methodologies through code evaluations and technical documentation

• Establish frameworks and practices that simplify working with the monolith

• Take part in technical discussions and contribute to architectural choices

• Collaborate intimately with the CTO, senior Product Engineers, designer, Head of Product, co-founders, and teams that interact with customers

• Maintain close relationships with customers to address their challenges

• Work across technology, content, and design to develop cohesive wellbeing solutions

• Extensive experience with Ruby on Rails

• Proficient in AI-assisted coding

• Based anywhere in Australia

• Proven experience in tackling complex technical issues

• Capacity to balance technical limitations with business requirements

• Skill in writing clear, maintainable code

• A pragmatic and constructive approach to problem-solving

• Eagerness to work within a small, senior product team

• Ability to work closely with co-founders and customer-facing teams
