Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with property managers and internal teams to comprehend workflows and pinpoint issues that need addressing.

• Transition features from concept and prototype stages through frontend, backend, integrations, testing, and deployment.

• Develop customer-facing functionalities, operational dashboards, automation engines, AI-driven workflows, and integrations.

• Design user-friendly interfaces for intricate short-term rental operations.

• Create event-driven workflows for tasks such as cleaning scheduling, check-in instructions, and owner statement generation.

• Innovate AI-driven features utilizing LLMs and AI agents for guest communication, maintenance triage, pricing strategies, and portfolio management.

• Develop APIs and integrations with platforms such as Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, Google, and other collaborators.

• Create solutions for reservation synchronization, dynamic pricing, smart locks, guest communication, check-in processes, forecasting, cleaning, maintenance, reporting, and financial workflows.

• Utilize customer feedback, product usage data, and operational outcomes to assess and enhance delivered features.

• Make informed technical decisions that balance delivery speed, maintainability, security, and reliability.

• Engage with founders, designers, operators, customers, and internal teams.

• Contribute to shaping and scaling Base360.ai, an AI operating system tailored for short-term rental businesses.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing and deploying production software.

• Capability to work across both frontend and backend systems.

• Proficient in React, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, or equivalent technologies.

• Solid understanding of APIs, databases, integrations, and cloud architecture.

• A product-oriented mindset with an eagerness to understand user motivations behind features.

• Sound judgment regarding usability, project scope, and technical trade-offs.

• Proficient in converting ambiguous challenges into practical, effective solutions.

• Confidence in engaging directly with customers, designers, and founders.

• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of outcomes.

• An inquisitive nature regarding AI, automation, and operational efficiency.

• A tendency to prioritize shipping, learning, and iteration.

• Experience in short-term rentals, hospitality technology, or property management systems is advantageous.

• Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS platforms is a plus.

• Background in marketplace businesses and booking channel integrations is beneficial.

• Experience with AI agents and workflow automation is an asset.

• Knowledge of product analytics and experimentation is a bonus.

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures is advantageous.

• Experience with Supabase is a plus.

• Proficiency in AWS serverless infrastructure is an asset.

• English proficiency is required on the application form.
