This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.
• Develop comprehensive features for a Ruby on Rails application.
• Utilize AI tools, such as Claude and Codex, throughout the development process for planning, prototyping, code generation, and cross-model code evaluation.
• Engage in AI-assisted code review practices prior to code being deployed.
• Communicate with customers to grasp their requirements and product expectations.
• Analyze product usage data and metrics to guide development choices.
• Prioritize feature development and decide on builds without the need for dedicated product managers.
• Prototype new features while exercising strong product and UX judgement.
• Work on both front-end and back-end components utilizing a traditional Rails monolith with HTML, CSS, Hotwire, and minimal JavaScript.
• Create user interfaces to a nearly pixel-perfect standard based on design systems and components.
• Transition between projects as business priorities necessitate.
• Function as an independent, self-motivated engineer while collaborating closely with the broader engineering team and designers.
• Define solutions based on customer insights and data rather than merely executing predefined tasks.
• Deliver high-quality solutions in a dynamic environment while upholding engineering rigor through AI and human code review processes.
• Over 5 years of experience in developing full-stack applications with Ruby on Rails.
• More than 3 years of experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the Hotwire stack.
• Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL for at least 3 years.
• Hands-on experience of 2+ years using AI-assisted engineering tools, including Claude, Codex, or orchestrating AI agents throughout the development lifecycle. Strong familiarity with other coding-agent tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot Workspace) is also acceptable for candidates who can swiftly adapt to the necessary tools.
• 2+ years of experience demonstrating a keen product sense and UX judgement, with the capability to implement near pixel-perfect user interfaces without a full designer handoff.
• 2+ years of working knowledge of AWS S3 and CloudFront; equivalent experience with object storage and CDN on another cloud provider is permissible.
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions. Experience with alternative CI/CD platforms, such as GitLab CI or CircleCI, is also acceptable.
• Fixed Shifts: 11:30 AM - 9:00 PM PKT (Summer) | 12:30 PM - 10:00 PM PKT (Winter)
