Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Engage with users on a weekly basis and transform customer feedback into actionable insights for product development.

• Define, develop with AI agents, launch, and refine products based on actual usage data.

• Take ownership of a segment of Periskope from start to finish and the metrics it influences.

• Challenge the output of agents, test underlying assumptions, and maintain accountability for both code and outcomes.

• Investigate production challenges, understand the foundational data models, APIs, and WhatsApp infrastructure, and resolve issues.

• Analyze sales calls, support conversations, reasons for churn, and usage statistics.

• Identify critical problems and distill them into the smallest effective solutions.

• Guide agents, scrutinize every code difference, and validate their assumptions.

• Deploy updates to actual customers, utilizing feature flags in high-risk scenarios.

• Assess usage and support tickets, then decide to retain, amend, or discard changes.

• Participate in the recruitment process, which includes an asynchronous WhatsApp discussion, a 90-minute collaborative session, and a concluding conversation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in engineering, product management, a founder's office, or your own startup.

• Strong product intuition: the capability to pinpoint issues on a screen and understand the reasons behind them.

• Proven experience in creating tangible solutions using AI tools, such as a product, internal tool, or widely utilized automation.

• Ability to navigate challenges independently without waiting for specifications, designers, or approvals.

• A strong desire to take ownership of production systems.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate decisions, flag uncertainties early, and drive progress within a remote team.

• Candidates must reside in India.
