Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Transform unclear product challenges into well-defined user flows, product functionalities, edge cases, and success metrics.

• Develop and uphold scalable, modular, and high-performance frontend code.

• Conduct independent reviews of both backend and frontend implementations for user experience, code quality, performance, accessibility, maintainability, and product accuracy.

• Establish API contracts and set expectations for backend processes.

• Collaborate with backend developers on architecture, data models, permissions, error management, observability, and performance optimization.

• Leverage AI tools for prototyping, implementation, refactoring, testing, debugging, and technical exploration.

• Critically assess AI-generated outputs, ensuring accountability for accuracy, maintainability, and product quality.

• Balance speed, simplicity, performance, maintainability, and user experience effectively.

• Take into account end users, business implications, SEO, accessibility, and overall product quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Capability to manage outcomes from start to finish: clarify issues, define product behavior, implement the frontend, coordinate backend tasks, and deliver results.

• Strong frontend expertise adequate to independently review React code.

• Ability to analyze APIs, data models, permissions, backend limitations, and edge cases.

• Experience utilizing AI to expedite development while tracing logic, adapting outputs to the existing codebase, and validating results.

• Capability to function as a solo product strike team when necessary.

• Openness to making product and technical decisions without finalized designs, predetermined APIs, or detailed tickets.

• Willingness to take responsibility for backend and UX constraints, edge cases, and the quality of AI-assisted outputs.

• Competence to independently review Haskell code.

• Commitment to maintaining high standards for performance, accessibility, maintainability, and product accuracy.

• Familiarity with Haskell, Node.js, React, server-side rendering, and AWS technologies.
