This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the development of the Reach platform from inception to pilot launch in Fall 2027, involving persona definition and customer discovery validation.
• Ensure that requirements are aligned with validated customer issues, maintaining a disciplined scope suitable for the pilot.
• Develop the value proposition and the winning narrative for the platform, securing leadership approval prior to the pilot.
• Oversee the complete build of the next-generation CogAT assessment platform, from requirements gathering to the pilot and full launch in 2028.
• Create and implement a customer migration strategy for current CogAT clients to reduce churn.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing on go-to-market strategies and positioning, offering customer insights without leading the execution of the GTM strategy.
• Work alongside the Senior Director of Product to finalize pricing and packaging.
• Establish a 2-3 year roadmap for the Reach platform, including strategies for the next iteration of the Iowa Assessments.
• Partner with Research and Content teams to define content requirements, and collaborate with Engineering on platform and architecture needs.
• Hold cross-functional teams accountable for milestone achievements, managing competing priorities across the Reach build, CogAT relaunch, and Iowa roadmap.
• Manage and mentor a Senior Product Manager while remaining actively involved in core product tasks.
• Provide monthly written and live updates to stakeholders and executive leadership regarding progress, risks, and required decisions.
• Define and monitor key indicators of platform health (e.g., activation rate, time-to-integrate, support volume), separate from revenue metrics.
• Collaborate with CX and Sales on training and enablement prior to launch, without taking ownership of the sales narrative.
• Over 8 years of experience in product management, demonstrating a history of tenure at previous companies without a pattern of short stays.
• Proven track record of taking a product from concept to market, successfully launching software solutions.
• Previous experience at the Senior Product Manager or Director level.
• Experience in managing or mentoring product talent (1-3 direct reports) and developing an execution team.
• Strong technical proficiency, capable of engaging in meaningful discussions with engineering about architecture tradeoffs and conveying them to non-technical stakeholders.
• History of collaboration with (not ownership of) GTM, sales, and marketing teams.
• Experience in making build/buy/partner decisions and explaining how budget changes impact these choices.
• Possess executive presence, able to present effectively and gain buy-in from senior leadership.
• Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Asana, and Tableau.
• Background in education, edtech, or assessment-based products (preferred).
• Experience in building a platform or product from early-stage concept to launch in a high-growth or transformative environment (preferred).
• Familiarity with evaluating API/developer experiences, including documentation, versioning, and backward compatibility (preferred).
• An MBA or advanced degree in a related field (preferred).
