This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +2 more countries.
• Lead, strategize, implement, and ensure successful product launches.
• Drive the roadmap and advancement of the Motive Home Device Manager (HDM) product line.
• Collect market intelligence and carry out competitive analysis.
• Engage in industry groups such as Broadband Forum (BBF), Prpl, and RDK as a thought leader.
• Position Motive’s platform as the premier choice for broadband device management, Wi-Fi optimization, and application lifecycle management on CPEs.
• Develop battle cards, demos, presentations, training materials, and one-pagers.
• Inform sales and customer-facing teams about market challenges, trends, and Motive’s solutions.
• Lead product marketing efforts through both internal and external communications.
• Establish communication channels, including newsletters, webinars, and customer forums.
• Attend customer meetings to gain insights into customer expectations.
• Collaborate with OEMs and device vendors within the Motive TR-069/TR-369 broadband ecosystem.
• Manage the product catalog and pricing structure.
• Oversee the HDM R&D team.
• Work alongside the R&D Manager to enhance and develop the R&D team.
• Enhance product quality.
• Drive decisions regarding the next-generation technical stack.
• Establish robust architectural capabilities.
• Promote secure SDLC practices within the product in accordance with Motive policies.
• Guide the short- and long-term evolution of the product.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
• Over 6 years of professional experience in product management.
• More than 6 years of experience in leading, managing, and coaching R&D teams, ideally in an Agile environment and preferably in the Telecom sector.
• Familiarity with broadband device management and specifications like TR-069 and TR-369.
• Proven experience as a cross-functional collaborator across engineering, sales, marketing, and other departments.
• Willingness to travel, engage, learn, and utilize past experiences to intelligently shape the future.
• In-depth understanding of broadband CPE lifecycle management.
• Experience with device onboarding, provisioning, configuration, firmware management, and diagnostics.
• Experience overseeing millions of connected devices.
• Background in remote device management and zero-touch provisioning.
• Knowledge of broadband technologies: Fiber (GPON/XGS-PON), DOCSIS, Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), Wi-Fi 5/6/6E/7, mesh networking, LAN/WAN networking fundamentals, IPv4/IPv6, DHCP, DNS, NAT.
• Strong expertise in standards such as TR-069, TR-369 (USP), TR-181, and MQTT.
• Experience with Tier-1 Communications Service Providers, OSS/BSS ecosystem, customer care operations, and Network Operations Centers (NOC).
• Technical proficiency in cloud-native SaaS products, microservices architecture/Kubernetes, REST APIs, telemetry and analytics, AI/ML applications, data-driven product management, and security and privacy fundamentals.
