Product Development Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assess and enhance third-party datasets to evaluate quality, business value, and potential applications.

• Establish key inquiries, success metrics, and analytical frameworks for exploratory projects.

• Perform quantitative analyses and convert findings into practical recommendations.

• Assist in the development and enhancement of new products, datasets, and initiatives driven by data.

• Collaborate with fellow analysts to strategize, develop, and implement intricate projects.

• Identify high-impact opportunities and propel progress with as much independence as feasible.

• Investigate new applications, methodologies, and use cases for datasets and products.

• Utilize AI tools, LLMs, and automation to enhance research, analysis, and overall productivity.

• Contribute to the team's knowledge base, tools, and operational efficiency.

• Work effectively with engineering, partnerships, product, and business teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in data analytics, data science, alternative data, or a related discipline.

• Proficient in SQL and/or PySpark.

• Comfortable handling large datasets.

• Familiarity with modern data platforms like Databricks.

• Capable of translating vague business inquiries into structured analyses and insights.

• Strong judgment and skill in utilizing data to inform recommendations and decision-making.

• Proficient in using AI tools and LLMs while maintaining independent critical thinking.

• Ability to excel in open-ended environments with significant ownership and autonomy.

• Effective communication and collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience collaborating across functions with engineering and business teams.

• A sense of curiosity, willingness to experiment, and enthusiasm for discovering new opportunities.
