This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces for browsing, discovery, ticket purchasing, order management, and customer support experiences.
• Convert user requirements, business objectives, and technical specifications into effective design solutions.
• Implement principles of layout, typography, visual hierarchy, interaction design, and responsive design.
• Assist in the creation, documentation, and upkeep of design systems across various products.
• Design reusable components, patterns, and detailed design specifications.
• Prepare design assets and documentation for engineering teams to implement.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, product owners, stakeholders, and both internal and external partners.
• Engage in design reviews, working sessions, and critique sessions.
• Work closely with engineers during implementation to clarify design intent, address issues, and enhance the final user experience.
• Integrate accessibility considerations and established standards into design work.
• Assess implemented experiences for usability, consistency, accuracy, and compliance with approved designs.
• Spot opportunities to enhance customer experience across JGO products and brands.
• Balance long-term projects with immediate requests and production demands.
• Manage assigned tasks effectively and meet deadlines and commitments.
• Solicit feedback, test concepts, and refine solutions accordingly.
• Utilize Figma and authorized AI-assisted workflows for design exploration, iteration, documentation, and delivery.
• Education, training, or practical experience that demonstrates a solid foundation in user experience and visual design principles.
• A portfolio showcasing design thinking, process, and clear, user-centered solutions.
• Experience in creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, or high-fidelity interface designs using Figma or a similar design tool.
• Proven experience in receiving feedback and collaboratively iterating on design work.
• No specific college degree or minimum years of professional UX experience are required.
• Proficiency in Figma or the ability to quickly gain proficiency.
• Understanding of UX/UI design, layout, typography, visual hierarchy, interaction design, and responsive design.
• Familiarity with user-centered design processes and systems-based product design.
• Capability to analyze complex requirements, recognize edge cases, and apply sound reasoning.
• Ability to collaborate with designers, engineers, product owners, stakeholders, and partners.
• Competence to work independently as well as part of a remote, cross-functional team.
• Applicants for employment in the U.S. must have work authorization that does not necessitate employer visa sponsorship.
• Preferred experience includes ecommerce, ticketing, transactional products, WCAG, HTML, CSS, responsive web design, design systems, mobile platforms, iOS, or Android.
