Product Designer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and enhance the user interface for both Playground and Console experiences based on a specified problem and overarching solution direction.

• Assist senior designers with feature projects, managing assigned tasks independently once the strategy is established.

• Take on design tasks as needed across various product surfaces to maintain workflow efficiency.

• Consistently apply the Cosmos design system while exercising discretion in unique situations.

• Document the rationale behind design choices for the benefit of the team and engineering.

• Provide regular updates, articulate reasoning during critiques, and offer constructive feedback to peers.

• Utilize AI and design tools in everyday tasks and disseminate insights with the team.

• Report directly to the Director of Product Design.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional UI design skills, demonstrated through a portfolio that showcases clear visual and interaction judgment.

• Proven experience handling feature-level projects from inception to production handoff.

• Proficiency in working within a design system, with the discretion to identify when a pattern may not be suitable.

• Strong written communication skills, including the ability to articulate the rationale behind design decisions.

• Comfort with both technical and abstract product surfaces.

• Familiarity with AI tools as a regular part of the workflow.

• Experience designing for developers or technical users, including APIs, SDKs, documentation, or console workflows.

• Background in B2B SaaS environments with self-service and enterprise components.

• Prototyping abilities that extend beyond static screens.

• Experience in contributing to a design system.

• A keen interest in voice, audio, or real-time products.

• Must reside in the United States.

• Must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area or within the Pacific Time Zone.
