Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete product design process from initial concept to implementation across The Foundation’s products and initiatives.

• Create user-friendly experiences for AI agents, workflows, developer tools, and applications aimed at users.

• Work closely with engineers and researchers to convert emerging AI capabilities into functional products.

• Develop wireframes, prototypes, interaction flows, visual systems, and designs ready for production.

• Perform user research and integrate qualitative and quantitative insights into product development decisions.

• Investigate new interaction models for human-agent collaboration, delegation, memory, trust, and personalization.

• Assist in the establishment of design systems, UX principles, and visual standards throughout the OpenClaw ecosystem.

• Participate in discussions about standards related to agent identity, permissions, interoperability, and user control.

• Collaborate directly with open source contributors and community members to collect feedback and enhance product experiences.

• Promote user-centered design principles within The Foundation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing software products, consumer applications, developer tools, or platforms involving emerging technology.

• Outstanding interaction design, visual design, and systems thinking abilities.

• A strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end ownership of launched products.

• Capability to distill complex technical concepts into user-friendly experiences.

• Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams and engaging in product strategy discussions.

• Strong skills in prototyping with tools like Figma, Framer, Principle, ProtoPie, or similar applications.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to tell compelling stories.

• Comfort in navigating highly ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.

• A profound curiosity about AI, open source software, developer communities, and the future of technology.
