This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Create user-friendly product experiences by designing intricate clinical and patient-facing journeys from initial flows and wireframes to refined UI and designs ready for implementation.

β€’ Act as the advocate for the user by ensuring their needs are incorporated throughout the product development cycle, from early-stage discovery and problem identification to delivery and refinement.

β€’ Enhance the user experience across the platform by actively spotting friction points, inconsistencies, and opportunities to streamline workflows and elevate the overall user experience.

β€’ Strengthen research practices by developing a more structured, consistent, and impactful approach, ensuring insights are visible, accessible, and actively influence product decisions, including establishing repeatable usability testing processes that are essential for medical device compliance and clinical safety.

β€’ Integrate data into the design workflow by promoting the use of both quantitative and qualitative data, assisting the team in making evidence-based decisions.

β€’ Advocate for accessible and inclusive design by creating experiences that accommodate users with diverse abilities and access needs, including those with visual, motor, cognitive, and literacy challenges. Implement accessibility best practices and WCAG principles throughout the design process to contribute to inclusive patterns and standards within the design system.

β€’ Participate in the development of our design system, ensuring it remains robust, consistent, and evolves alongside the product, while considering AI-readiness and long-term scalability. You will work to enhance collaboration and consistency between design and engineering as the system progresses.

β€’ Shape our AI strategy by investigating and testing AI tools within the design process, identifying practical ways to enhance speed, quality, and collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Proficient in end-to-end product design, encompassing discovery, journey mapping, wireframing, and polished UI and implementation-ready designs.

β€’ Possess systems thinking ability by understanding the broader ecosystem of your design decisions and how changes in one area can impact others within a complex, multi-user product.

β€’ Strong instincts in product and UX, capable of simplifying complex workflows, recognizing user challenges, and designing thoughtful, intuitive experiences rooted in evidence and user insights.

β€’ Highly collaborative mindset, comfortable working in close partnership with Product and Engineering teams to co-create solutions rather than merely executing requirements.

β€’ Experience with design systems, valuing scalability, consistency, and strong collaboration between design and engineering teams.

β€’ Confident in utilizing both qualitative and quantitative data to guide decisions and assess outcomes.

β€’ Curious about AI and emerging tools, exploring new resources and critically evaluating how they can enhance design workflows and product experiences.

β€’ Strong instincts for enhancing operational practices, contributing positively to discovery, critique, prioritization, and collaboration within dynamic product teams.

β€’ Comfortable navigating ambiguity and proactively seeking opportunities to enhance UX quality.

β€’ Expertise in accessibility and inclusive design, confidently designing for a wide range of user needs, with a comprehensive understanding of WCAG guidelines and accessibility best practices, treating inclusive design as a fundamental aspect of creating safe, usable clinical products.

β€’ Experience in designing digital products within regulated or clinical settings is advantageous, though we welcome applicants from any industry, particularly designers with diverse backgrounds who can offer fresh perspectives on the challenges we aim to address.
