Product Counsel, ERISA – Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the in-house ERISA authority, driving the company’s goal to enhance retirement plan accessibility for small and mid-sized enterprises.

• Deliver timely and practical legal counsel on ERISA, IRC, and fiduciary matters.

• Ensure adherence to operational compliance and convert intricate regulatory requirements into implementable guidance.

• Provide advice on inquiries from plan sponsors and participants.

• Examine disclosures and communications to ensure compliance.

• Assist the product team with expert knowledge as new features are designed.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of significant ERISA experience centered on qualified retirement plans.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a law firm environment.

• Demonstrated capability to advise non-legal teams in dynamic settings.

• Familiarity with operational compliance, fiduciary regulations, and legal issues related to products or technology.

• Active bar admission.

• Team-oriented approach with a focus on cross-functional collaboration.
