Product Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Serve as the liaison between Product and Engineering within an Agile delivery framework.

• Work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, QA, UX Designers, Scientists, and stakeholders to comprehend business goals and product specifications.

• Collect, analyze, challenge, and document both business and user requirements.

• Convert Epics into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and relevant analysis documentation using Jira and Confluence.

• Refine and manage the product backlog while assisting Product Managers with prioritization.

• Analyze business processes and user workflows to discover opportunities for product enhancements.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Collaborate with Engineering and QA during delivery to clarify requirements.

• Work across various Agile teams to ensure uniformity in requirements and successful project delivery.

• Identify and address delivery risks while managing stakeholder expectations.

• Conduct and assist with User Acceptance Testing.

• Utilize product analytics and customer feedback to pinpoint future product enhancements.

• Contribute to wireframes, user flows, and lightweight prototypes.

• Assist in customer discussions, technology research, and cross-functional product initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role within a SaaS software environment.

• Familiarity with Agile Scrum teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Strong background in gathering, analyzing, documenting, and refining business requirements.

• Proven ability to translate business needs into Epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and think independently.

• Experience with Jira and Confluence or comparable Agile tools.

• Robust Business Analysis experience within B2B Enterprise SaaS products.

• Proficient in requirements elicitation, process analysis, and user journey mapping.

• Experience in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation.

• Familiarity with backlog refinement, prioritization, and collaboration with Product Managers.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across Product, Engineering, QA, UX, and business teams.

• Experience in analyzing business processes and converting complex requirements into actionable work.

• Background in Quality Analysis and User Acceptance Testing.

• Confidence in working independently and transforming ambiguous requirements into clear outcomes.

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Experience in scientific software or Life Sciences is preferred but not essential.

• Additional desirable experience includes scientific software, ELNs, LIMS, scientific instrument data, Life Sciences software, Figma, product discovery, AI-powered products, Databricks, Power BI, Sigma, Spotfire, modern data platforms, and model-driven or multi-tenant SaaS applications.
