This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of sourcing and negotiations for purchases spanning various spend categories.
• Lead discussions with vendors focusing on commercial terms, pricing, discounts, payment conditions, ramps, and safeguards for renewals.
• Conduct competitive sourcing activities (RFI/RFP/RFQ), create bid comparisons, and provide recommendations.
• Prepare for negotiations by utilizing benchmarks, usage data, and walk-away positions; document results and savings achieved.
• Manage category renewal schedules and avoid unexpected auto-renewals.
• Facilitate purchase requests throughout the complete intake-to-pay process.
• Collaborate with Legal on contracts, Security regarding vendor risk and data assessments, IT on provisioning/access, and Finance concerning budgets, POs, and accruals.
• Oversee supplier onboarding, which includes documentation, tax forms, banking verification, and system records.
• Keep auditable transaction records.
• Analyze purchasing and expenditure data to identify consolidation opportunities, duplicate or rarely used tools, pricing anomalies, and category trends.
• Report on savings, cost avoidance, cycle times, and spend management.
• Assist in annual and quarterly budget planning with insights on spending and renewal forecasts.
• Enhance the internal purchasing experience by providing clearer guidance, quicker response times, reduced friction, and improved self-service options.
• Counsel the business on procurement policies, thresholds, and purchasing inquiries.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or strategic purchasing, including direct vendor negotiations.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong foundational knowledge in finance.
• A customer-service mindset when working with internal stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and adept at navigating ambiguity.
• Ability to adapt and quickly learn in a dynamic function and fast-paced industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Credibility to negotiate effectively with senior vendor representatives.
• Previous experience in sourcing within a high-growth technology or SaaS company is highly regarded.
• Familiarity with P2P platforms, CLM, ERP, and tools for spend visibility is particularly valued.
• Understanding of contract terms and concepts related to third-party risk, including DPAs/GDPR, SOC 2/security reviews, insurance requirements, and AI/data-use terms is especially regarded.
• Experience supporting a global, multi-entity business, which includes multi-currency purchasing, international suppliers, and regional tax/invoicing requirements, is particularly valued.
