This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee vendor negotiations across various spending categories, including commercial terms, pricing, discounts, payment conditions, ramp-ups, and renewal safeguards.
• Conduct competitive sourcing events such as RFI, RFP, and RFQ; create bid comparisons and recommendations.
• Prepare for negotiations utilizing benchmarks, usage data, and walk-away positions; document results and realized savings.
• Manage the renewal calendar and proactively involve stakeholders to avoid unexpected auto-renewals.
• Guide purchase requests through the entire intake-to-pay process, collaborating with Legal, Security, IT, and Finance.
• Ensure requests progress by managing timelines, setting expectations, and addressing obstacles.
• Oversee supplier onboarding, including documentation, tax forms, banking verification, and supplier records management.
• Maintain accurate, auditable transaction records, approvals, agreements, and negotiation history.
• Analyze purchasing and spending data to highlight consolidation opportunities, duplicate or underutilized tools, pricing anomalies, and category trends.
• Provide reports on savings, cost avoidance, cycle times, and spend under management.
• Assist in annual and quarterly budget planning with category-level spending insights and renewal forecasts.
• Enhance the internal buying experience by providing clearer guidance, quicker turnarounds, reduced friction, and improved self-service options.
• Advise employees on procurement policies, thresholds, and purchasing inquiries.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or strategic purchasing, including practical vendor negotiation skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong foundational knowledge in finance.
• Customer-service oriented approach towards internal stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
• Ability to quickly adapt and learn in a dynamic function and fast-paced industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Credibility to negotiate with senior vendor representatives.
• Experience in sourcing within a high-growth technology or SaaS company is particularly advantageous.
• Familiarity with P2P platforms, CLM, ERP, and spend visibility tools is a plus.
• Working knowledge of contract terms and third-party risk concepts, including DPAs and GDPR, SOC 2 and security reviews, insurance requirements, and AI/data-use terms is highly regarded.
• Experience supporting a global, multi-entity business, including multi-currency purchasing, international suppliers, and regional tax or invoicing requirements is especially valued.
