This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.
β’ Design and implement a thorough venue sourcing strategy that maximizes cost efficiency while ensuring the quality and appropriateness of event locations.
β’ Build and nurture strong relationships with venue suppliers, negotiating advantageous terms, and securing optimal rates and contracts.
β’ Lead by example, offering guidance, training, and support to guarantee high-quality outcomes along with presentations to various departments and leadership teams.
β’ Collaborate closely with finance and event planning teams to create budgets and cost projections for venue acquisition, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with financial protocols.
β’ Conduct market analysis to pinpoint potential venues that meet event specifications.
β’ Prepare and assess contracts with venues, covering terms, conditions, cancellation policies, and liability agreements. Ensure all contracts adhere to legal and organizational standards.
β’ Evaluate potential risks linked to selected venues and develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure the success of events.
β’ Partner with event operations and management teams to grasp event goals, audience requirements, and logistics to guarantee venues fulfill all essential criteria.
β’ Promote sustainable venue practices and strive to incorporate eco-friendly options in venue selection.
β’ Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of venue procurement initiatives, identifying opportunities for enhancement and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
β’ Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality management, or a related field is preferred.
β’ Demonstrated experience in venue procurement, sourcing, or event planning, with at least 5 years in a comparable position.
β’ Experience in the cheerleading/dance sector is an advantage.
β’ Strong negotiating and contract management capabilities.
β’ Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
β’ High level of customer service expertise.
β’ Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of the events industry, venue trends, and best practices.
β’ Knowledge of sustainability practices and their application in event venues is beneficial.
β’ Results-driven and capable of working independently to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects at once.
β’ Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
