Procurement Manager – Cables

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Formulate and execute sourcing strategies for cables and their components.

• Effectively manage suppliers on both national and international levels.

• Choose, assess, and cultivate relationships with manufacturers and supplier partners.

• Negotiate and oversee framework agreements and commercial terms.

• Perform market, cost, and benchmark analyses related to cables and cable systems.

• Collaborate with teams in Engineering, Project Management, Construction, Quality Management, and Logistics.

• Identify and apply cost optimization, standardization, and product-group enhancements.

• Generate procurement metrics, supplier assessments, and criteria for decision-making.

• Serve as the primary procurement contact for designated projects.

• Assist in the successful execution of both national and international solar projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Several years of experience in strategic procurement within the cable sector, preferably in PV, energy infrastructure, or EPC projects.

• Strong technical knowledge of cables, including technical specifications, standards, certifications, and manufacturing processes.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Strategic, analytical, and methodical approach to work.

• Awareness of cost and market-price influences.

• Experience in project management and collaboration across technical and commercial teams.

• Responsible, proactive, and solution-focused mindset.

• Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office applications.

• High proficiency in English.

• Willingness to travel both nationally and internationally.

• Knowledge of German is a plus.
