This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Formulate and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy across the portfolio for major equipment and material categories, which include power, cooling, and electrical systems.
• Oversee sourcing, bidding, and negotiation processes for large equipment and material packages.
• Develop procurement plans that are in line with business goals, construction timelines, and delivery targets.
• Foster and maintain robust relationships with key suppliers and vendors throughout the portfolio.
• Create and oversee a vendor performance management program that monitors cost, quality, service, and timely delivery.
• Negotiate advantageous commercial terms while ensuring the longevity of supplier partnerships and supply chain stability.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, construction, and project leadership teams to align procurement efforts with project requirements.
• Assist in planning for long-lead materials and essential equipment to minimize scheduling risks and enhance delivery reliability.
• Work across various stakeholders to pinpoint procurement priorities, limitations, and opportunities for enhanced execution.
• Identify and address supply chain risks, especially concerning critical or long-lead items.
• Develop structured and repeatable procurement processes and controls that facilitate portfolio expansion.
• Propel continuous improvement in procurement workflows, vendor accountability, and material planning methodologies.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience in procurement and materials management for large-scale industrial, infrastructure, or construction initiatives.
• In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, strategic sourcing, and vendor management.
• Proven experience in leading intricate procurement activities involving multiple stakeholders and project needs.
• Preferred experience in managing supply chain risks for long-lead equipment such as switchgear, cooling systems, or other specialized infrastructure components.
• Background in negotiating and managing contracts for advanced technology, automation, or robotics-related solutions.
• Experience in establishing or enhancing procurement processes in a rapidly growing or evolving project context.
• Understanding of procurement planning for complex, mission-critical construction programs.
