Procurement Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.

📋 Description

• Assist in vendor selection by performing financial and commercial assessments, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with business needs.

• Work together with operational and support teams to determine procurement requirements, identify appropriate suppliers, and oversee the tendering process.

• Establish and nurture strong relationships with suppliers to ensure peak performance, cost effectiveness, and compliance with financial and contractual commitments.

• Track SLAs, KPIs, and contractual commitments to guarantee vendors meet the agreed-upon commercial terms.

• Analyze vendor costs, ensure billing accuracy, and monitor spending patterns to avoid overcharges and value loss.

• Recognize financial risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for savings or contract renegotiation.

• Ensure suppliers comply with YSI brand standards, regulatory requirements, and financial controls.

• Maintain oversight of contracts, pricing arrangements, and renewal timelines to aid in budgeting and forecasting.

• Partner with the Financial Control and Analysis team to assist with accruals, cost tracking, and budget versus actual variance analysis.

• Collaborate with Legal, Operations, and relevant departments to ensure effective contract governance and risk management.

• Manage vendor onboarding, due diligence, and ongoing governance processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• 3-5+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or finance-related positions.

• Robust financial and commercial insight (cost control, budgeting, expenditure analysis).

• Experience in reviewing contracts, pricing structures, and supplier commercial conditions.

• Familiarity with SLAs, KPIs, and supplier performance evaluation frameworks.

• Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP/P2P systems is advantageous.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced work environment.
