This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• The Processor I, Government Funding Programs is responsible for the preparation and processing of Federal Student Aid and military funds for current learners, following federal, state, and institutional regulations and guidelines.
• The individual will conduct document reviews to ensure accuracy, compliance, and completeness in order to facilitate the delivery and coordination of federal, state, and institutional funds.
• The Processor I, Government Funding Programs aids the Government Funding Programs function by tracking Institutional Student Information Records (ISIR), reviewing learner documents to resolve verification issues, C codes, Unusual Enrollment History (UEH), and conflicting data, verifying data accuracy, and assisting in the preparation of disbursements for the electronic delivery of Title IV and military funds to the College.
• Reviews current learner documents to confirm eligibility, completeness, and accuracy necessary for the disbursement of Title IV and military funds.
• Completes the verification process, which entails reviewing verification documents, ensuring data consistency with the ISIR, resolving any conflicting information, and accurately making all required ISIR corrections.
• Ensures that documents related to ISIR rejections, C-codes, and conflicting information comply with Title IV requirements to resolve issues.
• Makes assessments regarding learners’ and/or parents’ special circumstances to escalate files to the supervisor for professional judgment decisions.
• Reviews documents for withdrawn learners to ensure that Return of Title IV funds are calculated and processed in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with institutional and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitors Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) each semester to assess continued eligibility for Title IV funding.
• Utilizes various databases and technologies including Common Origination & Disbursement (COD), National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), and Central Processing System (CPS) to ensure adherence to institutional and federal regulations.
• Engages in the successful execution of other functional projects as they arise.
• A high school diploma or general equivalent is mandatory.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a highly regulated professional environment, such as finance, higher education, or the medical field, is required.
• Proven knowledge of Federal Student Aid and/or military funding is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Experience in an institution of higher learning or student funding is preferred.
