This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Develop, revise, review, and sustain business process documentation, standard operating procedures, work instructions, job aids, reference guides, and various operational materials.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to collect information and document business processes, systems, products, and services.
• Convert complex technical and operational information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
• Engage in stakeholder interviews, meetings, and working sessions for process discovery and documentation.
• Ensure that documentation adheres to established standards, templates, policies, and quality requirements.
• Evaluate existing documentation and suggest updates to enhance accuracy, consistency, usability, and effectiveness.
• Create process flowcharts, workflow diagrams, and other supporting documentation artifacts.
• Manage document repositories and guarantee that content remains up-to-date and properly version-controlled.
• Identify gaps in documentation and opportunities for process standardization.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver documentation precisely and on schedule.
• Implement Lean Six Sigma principles and documentation best practices.
• Contribute to projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, process standardization, and continuous improvement.
• A Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing, process documentation, business operations, knowledge management, or a related area.
• Proven experience in creating and maintaining process documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and training materials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the capability to simplify complex information.
• Familiarity with technical writing principles, document management practices, and documentation standards.
• Experience in gathering information from various stakeholders and transforming requirements into effective documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and documentation or content management tools.
• Capability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities.
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Yellow Belt certification, or a willingness to pursue certification, is preferred.
• Experience with process mapping and workflow documentation tools is preferred.
