Process Project Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee and support a multifaceted engineering and design project team.

• Investigate, establish, test, and implement new processes.

• Create P&ID’s, Process Flow Diagrams, Utility drawings, project specifications, and equipment layouts for food processing facilities.

• Accurately size, specify, and integrate process equipment.

• Coordinate structural, mechanical, electrical, and control systems as necessary.

• Guide engineers, designers, and CAD operators in producing engineering drawings.

• Develop design specifications for external vendors.

• Generate and oversee various forms of communication throughout the project lifecycle.

• Prepare contract documentation, calculations, observation reports, and estimates.

• Assist in the bidding process for equipment and services by preparing the necessary bid documents.

• Help estimate layout costs for specified processes and explore alternative methods to reduce design costs.

• Responsively address the needs and requests of clients.

• Utilize company software/tools to ensure all essential documents are organized and processed.

• Provide onsite and/or offsite guidance and support to Field Engineers and Superintendents during equipment installation, startup, and commissioning phases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical preferred).

• At least 4 years of professional experience (Food and Beverage experience preferred).

• Knowledge of Food Safety Designs and Guidelines.

• Proficient in Technical Writing.

• Expertise in relevant software; including Procore, MS Office Suite, BlueBeam, Adobe, MS Project or Primavera P6, Power BI, AutoCAD, and BIM / ACC.

• Willingness to travel to customer locations, OEM sites, and construction sites.
