This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
β’ Provide counsel on privacy assessments and product-related issues.
β’ Develop and contribute to training materials, playbooks, and FAQ resources for various teams.
β’ Serve as a subject matter expert on data privacy law, offering strategic legal guidance.
β’ Track and advise on privacy legislation and regulatory changes.
β’ Take the lead in formulating and revising internal policies and procedures.
β’ Evaluate marketing initiatives to ensure adherence to data protection regulations.
β’ Support the Privacy Program and risk management activities.
β’ Assist in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating terms related to privacy and data security within contracts.
β’ Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to a state bar.
β’ Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in-house or at a law firm, focusing on data privacy issues.
β’ Thorough understanding of data privacy laws, including CCPA, TCPA, and CAN-SPAM.
β’ Experience providing guidance on direct-to-consumer products and marketing strategies.
β’ Background in cross-functional compliance.
β’ Proficient in drafting and negotiating data protection agreements.
β’ Experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous.
β’ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
