Privacy Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Assist in the execution of privacy program assessments, regulatory gap evaluations, and risk analyses.

• Aid in the creation of privacy-related documentation including policies, notices, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and records of processing activities.

• Support data mapping projects by aiding clients in identifying and documenting personal data flows across different systems and vendors.

• Help set up and manage privacy management platforms (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc) to facilitate use cases such as cookie compliance, subject rights management, and consent tracking.

• Investigate and summarize the evolving landscape of data protection laws, translating regulatory requirements into actionable recommendations.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams and senior consultants to ensure timely and high-quality project outcomes.

• Take part in client calls, working sessions, and the review of deliverables.

• Keep comprehensive project documentation and engage in knowledge-sharing within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in privacy, security, compliance, risk management, or a related field. Previous consulting or client service experience is advantageous.

• Fundamental understanding of privacy regulations such as GDPR, CPRA, HIPAA, and GLBA.

• Familiarity with or interest in Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) or privacy tools like OneTrust, TrustArc, or similar platforms.

• Excellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail, particularly when managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong communication skills, capable of conveying concepts clearly in both verbal and written forms.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Legal Studies, Business, or a related field.

• IAPP certifications (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM) are a plus, or a strong willingness to obtain them.
