Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Handle prior authorization requests with a focus on DDI screening and clinical precision.

• Examine medication profiles to detect possible drug-drug interactions and associated risks.

• Work in conjunction with pharmacists and clinical teams to facilitate reviews, escalations, and approvals.

• Ensure accurate and compliant documentation of all reviews and decisions.

• Achieve established productivity, quality, and service level targets.

• Assist in the rollout of prior authorization processes across various programs and accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Pharmacy Technician certification is mandatory in accordance with state regulations, when applicable.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in PBM, pharmacy operations, or prior authorization settings.

• Knowledge of DDI screening tools, pharmacy systems, and clinical review methodologies.

• A keen attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and quality.
