Principal/Senior Patent Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Finland, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Identify and prepare patents for legal proceedings.

• Perform validity and essentiality assessments.

• Manage litigation assets and prepare for legal actions.

• Address infringement and validity issues in global patent litigation activities.

• Coordinate, direct, and evaluate external work.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of hands-on professional experience in the patent field at a law firm and/or within an in-house environment.

• Proven experience in patent litigation.

• An engineering degree in Telecommunications, Physics/Mathematics, or a related field.

• Qualification as a European Patent Attorney or a law degree in conjunction with the engineering degree.

• Familiarity with 3GPP technologies.

• Exceptional communication and analytical abilities.

• A proactive, results-driven approach with a desire to excel in high-pressure, high-stakes situations.

• A demonstrated history of resolving intricate issues and implementing strategies.

• Capability to organize work across various teams, disciplines, and stakeholders.

• Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Project management experience is a plus.

• Knowledge of legal systems across different jurisdictions is a plus.

• Initiative to create new and improved working methods is a plus.

• Understanding of FRAND issues and the SEP licensing framework is a plus.
