Principal/Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create and implement essential backend services for real-time bidding, optimization, and advertisement delivery processes.

• Develop tailored bidding agents for making real-time bidding decisions.

• Construct high-load, low-latency components that facilitate real-time auction and delivery operations.

• Apply proprietary pacing, bid-shading, and optimization strategies to enhance campaign effectiveness.

• Design and incorporate forecasting functionalities for impressions, reach, outcome estimation, and campaign strategy.

• Collaborate with OpenRTB, JSON, protobuf, and various ad-tech protocols and data formats.

• Connect with data and metrics pipelines to enable real-time optimization and reporting.

• Establish observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting features (LGTM/ELK stack).

• Partner with product, engineering, data, and ad operations teams to provide scalable performance advertising solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience as a Backend Engineer in commercial projects.

• Strong backend engineering expertise in Golang.

• Proven experience in designing and constructing high-load, low-latency distributed systems.

• Practical experience with JSON-based integrations, protobuf, or similar protocols.

• Familiarity with low-latency data stores and caching technologies such as Aerospike, Redis, ElastiCache, or equivalent.

• Proficiency in PostgreSQL or similar relational database systems.

• Experience in building production-grade services that meet high reliability, scalability, and observability standards.

• Capability to work autonomously, assess complex system trade-offs, and participate in architectural decisions.

• Upper-Intermediate level of English proficiency.
