Principal UX Engineer, Ads

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and spearhead the UX engineering strategy across various facets of Reddit Ads.

• Develop high-quality, functional prototypes and product experiences to investigate ideas, validate assumptions, and aid product decisions.

• Collaborate with senior cross-functional leaders to influence product direction and clarify complex, ambiguous opportunities.

• Create reusable tools, systems, components, and workflows that bridge design and research to production.

• Enhance interaction quality, accessibility, performance, and technical proficiency across the Ads experience.

• Investigate AI applications for advertiser products and design and development workflows within the team.

• Mentor team members and cultivate UX Engineering capabilities throughout Reddit.

• Work together with Design, Research, Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience at the intersection of product design and engineering, with a proven record of developing sophisticated interactive products.

• Strong hands-on proficiency with modern frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript.

• Exceptional product and interaction judgment.

• Experience collaborating across multiple teams or product domains and influencing product direction beyond a singular project.

• Strong systems thinking and experience in creating reusable patterns, platforms, or tools.

• Capability to navigate ambiguity and make considered trade-offs.

• Ability to integrate design, engineering, product, and research viewpoints.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with senior cross-functional partners.

• Passion for remaining hands-on while assisting others in achieving their best work.

• Advertising experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Relevant experience with complex products such as marketplaces, enterprise tools, analytics, commerce, developer platforms, AI-driven experiences, or multi-sided ecosystems.
