Principal Thermal-Mechanical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Build, lead, and expand a high-performing team of thermal and thermo-mechanical engineers, establishing technical direction, mentoring team members, and driving execution.

• Collaborate with customer engineering teams throughout the evaluation phase by assisting in simulation setup, executing test cases, and interpreting results to showcase Vinci’s value.

• Work alongside the sales team to provide product demonstrations, conduct proof-of-concept evaluations, and engage in detailed technical discussions with potential customers.

• Assist with customer onboarding and deployments by offering technical guidance, training, and troubleshooting during the deployment and production stages.

• Identify customer pain points and workflow issues, collaborating with product and engineering teams to enhance product capabilities and improve the overall customer experience.

• Conduct technical training sessions and workshops to empower customer teams to effectively adopt and scale Vinci within their engineering processes.

• Represent Vinci at industry conferences and semiconductor events by providing live product demonstrations, managing booth activities, and engaging technically with prospective customers and partners.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of competitive technologies, industry trends, and market positioning to effectively articulate Vinci’s unique advantages.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.

• Over 15 years of practical experience in thermal management, mechanical warpage, stress, and reliability using commercial software such as Flowthem, Cadence, Ansys, Abaqus, LS Dyna, etc.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Previous managerial or leadership experience.

• Experience in customer-facing roles.

• Strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to quickly learn new tools and workflows.

• Exceptional ability to present complex results clearly to a mixed audience (technical and business).
