This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +3 more states.
• Serve as the leading authority on the DoiT Partner Platform: Act as the foremost product expert and a guiding figure among peers, fostering alignment across various product teams and establishing standards for product excellence.
• Take ownership of the comprehensive strategy, delivery, iteration, and learning speed for significant platform components.
• Collaborate with VP-level leadership to set strategic objectives, translating them into actionable problems to address and deliverable scope.
• Guide and mentor other Technical Product Owners to enhance product management practices, ensuring seamless execution across the entire platform portfolio.
• Facilitate the feedback cycle across teams: discover → define → build → release → measure → iterate, continuously.
• Evaluate technical designs, assess complex trade-offs and limitations, and comprehend their effects on delivery schedules and system behaviors, without being the main implementer.
• Utilize your practical experience within the cloud ecosystem and knowledge of channel, reseller, and partner business models.
• Cultivate a deep understanding of the workflows of cloud partners: billing operations, margin management, reseller customer management, support operations, and service delivery.
• Leverage direct conversations with partners and operational insights to pinpoint friction points, gaps, and strategic opportunities to enhance partner cloud business operations.
• Possess a strong understanding of cloud billing structures, marketplace initiatives, margin models, and partner incentives across hyperscalers.
• Contribute to the development of complex platform capabilities that manage or simplify complexities in areas like: Multi-cloud billing aggregation.
• Partner margin and discount frameworks.
• Customer invoicing and revenue operations.
• Usage and cost transparency.
• Marketplace and private offer workflows.
• Regularly communicate with key partners (aiming for 3–5 discussions weekly) and internal stakeholders to validate concepts, refine workflows, and test assumptions.
• Engage thoroughly with executive stakeholders at cloud partners, MSPs, SIs, and resellers to understand their cloud business operations.
• Communicate effectively and confidently: share ideas early, welcome feedback, synthesize input into strategic decisions, and explain “why” in a manner that builds trust and consensus among peers and leadership.
• Function as a core leader working closely with Engineering leaders—actively participating in daily collaboration, making clear decisions, and being pragmatic about constraints.
• Collaborate with Engineering leads on sequencing, technical trade-offs, and delivery planning—ensuring that product objectives are preserved through implementation realities.
• Ensure components are integrated across UX, APIs, data, and operational behavior, supporting partner-grade reliability and scalability.
• Define what success looks like for the platform portfolio with clear metrics (partner adoption, onboarding speed, billing accuracy, workflow completion, retention, reliability signals, partner-reported impact).
• Instrument learning: guarantee that releases are measurable and that insights consistently feed back into portfolio prioritization.
• Ensure platform capabilities address the operational realities of the cloud partner ecosystem, including billing accuracy, financial reconciliation, and auditability.
• Significant product leadership experience with over 10 years of direct involvement in the cloud ecosystem, ideally across roles such as cloud operations, FinOps, partner operations, or developing platforms that cater to cloud customers or partners.
• Proven capability to operate as a "player-coach"—leading high-level strategy, executing hands-on with engineering, and guiding/mentoring other product owners as a respected peer leader.
• Strong expertise in cloud billing systems, cost and usage data, or revenue operations within cloud environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of the cloud partner ecosystem (resellers, MSPs, SIs, distributors, marketplaces). Candidates have likely engaged within the partner ecosystem at some stage in their careers.
• Experience in building or managing platforms that support channel or partner-driven business models.
• Strong product intuition for transforming messy operational challenges into clear scope and delivered value with an exceptional user experience.
• Technical fluency in cloud fundamentals and APIs across AWS, Google Cloud, and/or Azure.
• Coding experience is advantageous—sufficient to collaborate effectively with engineers, assess feasibility, and understand system behaviors.
• Must possess demonstrated experience utilizing AI to expedite product specifications and development.
• Excellent communication abilities: capacity to engage deeply with partners, cloud experts, and internal stakeholders at the executive level.
