Principal Technical Consultant – VMware Cloud Foundation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design, architect, deploy, and optimize large-scale hybrid cloud and data center solutions utilizing VMware Cloud Foundation.

• Guide clients in developing intricate and global VCF-based architectures that improve operations, automation, security, and scalability.

• Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to client and project teams, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.

• Supervise the architecture, deployment, and configuration of the VCF Fleet, vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, NSX, Operations (Network, Logs), Automation, and VKS within VCF environments.

• Collaborate with customers to establish business and technical requirements for VCF-based private and hybrid cloud solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 15 years of technical experience with VMware and related technologies.

• VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 Architect Certification (Exam 2V0-13.25 required).

• VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 Administrator Certification (Exam 2V0-17.25) is highly preferred.

• Specialty VCF VCAP-level certification in either NSX, Operations, Automation, or VKS is highly desirable.

• Significant expertise in architecture, design, and deployment of VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 (VCF), including VCF Global Fleet, vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and Aria Suite.

• Extensive experience with VCF lifecycle management, automation, and workload migration.

• Practical experience in deploying, upgrading, and managing VCF across various hardware platforms and HCI solutions. Familiarity with Elastic VMware Services (EVS) on AWS or Azure VMware Solution (AVS) is highly advantageous.

• Deep understanding of software-defined networking (SDN), security policies, and enterprise storage.

• Experience in integrating VCF with third-party tools such as backup, monitoring, and automation solutions.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills for client interactions.

• Industry certifications such as VCAP, VCDX, or equivalent VMware certifications are highly desirable.

• Willingness to travel at least 10% as required.
