This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and uphold the architectural framework for the Epic platform, which includes ODBA (Database), Hyperspace, Web Blob, Interconnect server tiers, and the Cogito stack.
• Provide guidance to healthcare organizations on optimal practices for the architectural design and configuration of the Epic environment, ensuring operational reliability 24/7/365 and mitigating technical debt.
• Ensure timely project delivery while maintaining the highest quality standards and exceeding client expectations.
• Design and implement intricate, mission-critical technical solutions for enterprise clients.
• Foster and sustain robust client relationships, promote business growth, and identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
• Create high-quality deliverables and presentations for client engineering teams and senior leadership, including both technical and non-technical documentation.
• Collaborate with clients to comprehend their technical challenges and craft customized solutions to meet their requirements.
• Develop and present solution designs, alternatives, concepts, and innovations to senior leadership teams of clients.
• Create and manage Technical Roadmaps and Innovation Plans.
• Establish project estimates and plans, identify risks and mitigation strategies, and oversee the development and delivery of technical solutions.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities for team members, empowering them to grow and succeed in their roles.
• Actively lead collaboration within our technical communities.
• Proven ability to engage in brainstorming sessions with customers to devise solutions for business or technology goals or challenges.
• Strong consulting skills and business insight.
• Over 10 years of experience in Enterprise IT, with more than 5 years concentrated on the Epic platform within large, multi-facility health systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Epic environment, including the Epic Cogito suite (Clarity, Caboodle, Reporting Workbench), interface engines (Bridges), and contemporary healthcare data exchange standards (HL7, FHIR).
• Practical experience in designing and implementing Epic Environments (ODB, Interconnect, Hyper Space Web, BCA, Cogito stack, etc.) and integrating with other clinical systems such as PACS, Labs, Interface Engines, etc.
• Hands-on experience in executing large-scale environment migrations, including hardware refreshes, data center relocations, cloud migrations, and similar scenarios.
• Epic Certifications are preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills along with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with enterprise organizations and their internal IT functions (e.g., Enterprise Architecture, Operations).
• Understanding of modern cloud-native application design principles, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD Pipelines is an advantage.
