Principal Technical Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, size, and validate scalable, enterprise-grade solution architectures according to business requirements and drivers.

• Design agentic systems utilizing Agent Workbench and Agentic Enterprise Orchestration, implementing guardrails, agent evaluations, and orchestration patterns to ensure AI is safe for mission-critical applications.

• Convert business needs into functional, sustainable applications and agents by utilizing the full capabilities of the OutSystems platform.

• Establish and evaluate architecture patterns that encourage reusability, lifecycle independence, and reduced maintenance costs.

• Evaluate existing applications for performance, architecture, and development quality, recommending enhancements, including modernization strategies for legacy systems.

• Recognize non-functional requirements, integration necessities, and shared standards across the application and agent portfolio.

• Guide OutSystems, customer, and partner teams on best practices in architecture and development.

• Enhance the technical expertise of the Professional Services team through contributions to technical practices, reference architectures, and public speaking engagements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• A minimum of 10 years in software development, including practical experience in web or mobile application development.

• At least 4 years in architecture or technical leadership positions, demonstrating the application of architectural patterns in enterprise-level projects.

• Strong understanding of architecture design, project delivery methodologies, and application performance, with the ability to identify, assess, and resolve performance bottlenecks.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% to support client engagements.

• Hands-on experience in designing AI solutions is highly preferred, including LLM-based applications and agentic frameworks and protocols like MCP, RAG, or model orchestration on platforms such as Amazon Bedrock.

• Preferred software development experience in .NET, C#, SQL, and contemporary web technologies.
