This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Act as the technical leader and test engineer within medium to large engineering development teams responsible for creating Command and Control software products.
• Execute full life cycle systems engineering, encompassing requirements analysis, definition, architecture design, trade studies, integration, verification and validation, formal testing, and software installation.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in systems engineering, addressing critical technical challenges.
• Provide mentorship to fellow engineers.
• Conceptualize, develop, and evaluate advancements in Multi-Sensor and Information Fusion, Networked Situational Awareness, and Visualization technologies.
• Oversee software integration and testing across various operating environments.
• Lead formal software qualification tests and demonstrations.
• Assist with on-site customer software installation and systems integration.
• Proven experience as a lead systems or test engineer on a software development project.
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience.
• Capability to obtain and sustain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• An active and existing DoD Secret security clearance is required from day one.
• Preferred experience with Link 16 Tactical Data Link, Command and Control, Surveillance/Radars, Air Traffic Control, Mission Planning, Missile Systems, Combat/Fire Control Systems, Aegis, or SSDS Mk II.
• Preferred experience in Systems of Systems Software Integration and Test across Linux, Windows, Virtual Machines, and Containers.
• Preferred proficiency in Java, C++, Linux shells, PowerShell, and Python.
• Preferred experience with on-site customer software installation, systems integration, formal software qualification tests, and demonstrations.
• Preferred knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Unified Modeling Language (UML).
• Preferred understanding of requirements development and management tools such as DOORS.
• Preferred familiarity with system architecture design and modeling tools like Cameo, Enterprise Architect, or Rational Suite.
• Preferred understanding of systems engineering concepts, practices, and procedures adhering to ISO/IEC/IEEE standards.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations as required.
