This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Utilize expertise in Oceanic and En Route Air Traffic Control to enhance, modernize, integrate, and support current and future air traffic management systems.

• Establish future ATM capabilities by translating operational experiences, emerging requirements, and innovative concepts into system specifications and engineering solutions.

• Develop, assess, document, and oversee system and functional requirements.

• Maintain comprehensive system documentation, interface specifications, operational concepts, and engineering artifacts.

• Convert controller and operational needs into precise, testable technical specifications.

• Collaborate with software engineering, systems integration, testing, human factors, and operational stakeholders.

• Engage in requirements reviews, design evaluations, test readiness assessments, technical interchange meetings, and systems engineering lifecycle processes.

• Assist in verification and validation efforts.

• Contribute to modernization, interoperability, and the introduction of new technologies across both domestic and international airspace sectors.

• Provide technical and domain leadership to multidisciplinary engineering teams while mentoring junior engineers.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

• Extensive hands-on experience in Air Traffic Control or air traffic systems may be accepted in lieu of degree requirements.

• Over 12 years of relevant systems engineering, air traffic systems engineering, or directly applicable ATC domain experience, or 10+ years with a Master's degree.

• Knowledge or experience in Oceanic and En Route Air Traffic Control operations, procedures, automation, or associated systems.

• Proven experience in transforming operational concepts and user needs into system and software specifications.

• Background in supporting complex systems through development, integration, testing, deployment, and/or maintenance.

• Capability to investigate intricate operational or system issues and collaborate across various engineering disciplines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

• Must be a US citizen.
