
Principal Specialist, Supplier Quality – Electronics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee supplier quality performance by implementing prevention strategies, monitoring/escalation processes, and handling supplier submissions of nonconforming materials.
• Facilitate and assist in the onboarding and qualification/certification of suppliers.
• Supervise source inspection and manage material release procedures.
• Execute escape management protocols.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts; propose corrective and preventive actions for ongoing supplier process and product-material challenges.
• Support RTX supplier initiatives to promote continuous enhancement and sustainability.
• Examine quality data to pinpoint systemic issues and formulate supplier-specific quality initiative strategies.
• Implement and promote the application of PFMEA, MSA, process flow and control plans, SPC, and other proactive quality tools.
• Ensure suppliers fulfill contract obligations, including Resourcing Gate, PPAP acceptance, and Work Transfer execution.
• Influence stakeholders and foster effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related discipline with at least 3 years of experience.
• Experience in the Electronics sector.
• Over 6 years of professional experience in supply chain operations, including supplier monitoring, auditing, and development, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capability to effectively engage with internal and external executives and staff.
• Familiarity with system standards, authorities/regulations/standards, QMS, auditing/assessing, and risk management.
• Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred.
• IPC standards certification is preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Equivalent work experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person, including U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees.
