This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Perform assessments of suppliers, monitor their performance, manage escapes, and resolve quality issues.
• Evaluate quality data and propose resolutions and corrective measures specific to parts and suppliers.
• Investigate and articulate root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies using Red-X and 8D in escape management procedures.
• Create corrective and preventive strategies for systemic process and product design challenges related to supplier-sourced products.
• Execute supplier qualification and certification, conduct source inspections, and manage material release processes.
• Facilitate Corrective Action Boards and DQ Clinics in collaboration with suppliers.
• Assess processes and metrics, and suggest actions to ensure supplier capability for work transfers and process change management.
• Assist with Resourcing Gate and PPAP acceptance activities.
• Occasionally travel to supplier sites located in Northern and Midwestern regions of the United States.
• Operate as an individual contributor to meet objectives that significantly impact the area of responsibility.
• Oversee Supplier Quality & Development processes and/or projects.
• Collaborate effectively with internal and external executives, employees, stakeholders, and suppliers.
• A University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience.
• Background in a supply chain operations setting, including monitoring, auditing, or developing suppliers/operations, or similar experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with quality regulations and quality management tools.
• Experience with PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Flows.
• U.S. Person status is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to utilize various interaction styles to influence or persuade stakeholders.
• Proficient in problem-solving and escape management techniques.
• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies and Lean Six Sigma principles.
• Experience in the aerospace industry is preferred.
• Previous involvement in conducting manufacturing process evaluations is preferred.
• Familiarity with APQP or PPAP is preferred.
• Security clearance is not a requirement.
