This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Support the creation of export authorization strategies for international marketing, sales, support, offshore procurement, and manufacturing of defense and dual-use articles.
• Prepare and submit high-quality export/import license applications, agreements, eligible exemptions/exceptions, and other requests for U.S. Government approval.
• Provide updates on export/import authorization status to leadership and capture/program teams.
• Engage in strategic business interactions at the program level to ensure effective business execution, growth, and compliance.
• Ensure consistent interpretation of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) for Advanced Products and Solutions employees.
• Facilitate the approvals necessary for the physical export/import of hardware and other transactional activities involving controlled goods, information, and services.
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to ascertain and certify the appropriate legal authority for the export of dual-use commodities and technology, defense articles; hardware, technical data, and defense services, including the determination of the suitable export authorization, exemption, or exception.
• Represent Global Trade in meetings and discussions with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in the implementation of company procedures and instructions to ensure compliance with U.S. Government export/import regulations and company policies.
• Take part in compliance assessments and investigations.
• Develop and provide training for employees involved in international business activities.
• Review and approve technical and non-technical information as necessary before releasing it to non-U.S. Persons.
• Serve as a resource for entry-level Global Trade personnel.
• Minimal domestic travel required - approximately once per quarter.
• Generally requires a University Degree or equivalent experience along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience.
• Experience in researching and/or applying ITAR and EAR regulations.
• Proven experience in applying for, managing, and transacting against ITAR and EAR export authorizations.
• Familiarity with DECCS, SNAP-R, SAP-GT, OCR EASE, or similar Global Trade tools and/or systems.
