Principal Specialist, Contracts

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the preparation and submission of proposals for new business opportunities, encompassing spares, repairs, and modernization for various clients.

• Collaborate with functional program team members to comprehend, direct, and enhance the performance of contractual obligations.

• Offer contractual guidance and support to the business, program, and proposal teams throughout all stages of the contract lifecycle.

• Lead the Contracts Management activities across a diverse portfolio.

• Work alongside Portfolio Directors, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure effective contract execution.

• Identify, alleviate, and facilitate the resolution of contractual challenges.

• Ensure that negotiated terms and conditions align with company policies.

• Provide advice on contractual and business matters, rights and obligations, and the mitigation of contractual and programmatic risks.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

• Communicate with customers regarding correspondence, contractual modifications, and issues.

• Manage contracts and engage directly with program leadership.

• Participate in business management reviews, including quarterly EAC assessments.

⛳️ Requirements

• University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience.

• Background in contracts management, program management, business management, finance, supply chain processes, and/or procurement.

• Familiarity with contracts, terms and conditions, RFPs, RFQs, FAR, DFARS, or related contract experience.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Must reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states, excluding U.S. territories.
