Principal Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Act as the leading field authority on application and cloud-native security while offering technical and business-oriented insights to Product Management, enhancing Wiz’s positioning and value proposition for prospects and clients.

• Work collaboratively with Wiz sales teams on strategic initiatives, showcasing the business and technical advantages of the Wiz platform.

• Support Sales Engineers (SEs) and potential clients throughout the Proof of Concept (POC) phase by providing advanced use cases, installation and deployment assistance, and troubleshooting support.

• Conduct regular thought leadership sessions with field teams, sharing insights and methodologies gained through customer interactions to enhance our messaging effectiveness and value delivery to both prospective clients and existing customers.

• Aid in communicating and selling the capabilities of the Wiz platform to both prospects and customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong technical foundation with a robust understanding of core IT, InfoSec, Cloud, and DevOps principles.

• Demonstrated skill set and experience with a career trajectory centered on public cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Extensive, practical knowledge of the Application Security landscape, including Application Security Posture Management (ASPM), SAST, DAST, SCA, and the operational application of SBOMs (SPDX/CycloneDX) for vulnerability and license management.

• Proven expertise in one or more high-level programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Rust) and/or advanced shell scripting.

• Experience and capability to understand developer workflows, including Git, CI/CD, Helm, Terraform, etc.

• Subject Matter Expert (SME) level knowledge of Kubernetes and containers, with the ability to design and troubleshoot complex environments.

• Outstanding ability to convey intricate technical concepts to various audiences, ranging from highly technical developer teams to executive stakeholders (CISO, CTO).

• A strong enthusiasm for continuous self-improvement and learning to uphold technical leadership.

• Full professional proficiency in German (both written and verbal).

• Proficiency in an additional European language is advantageous.
