Principal Solutions Architect – Data Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

⛳️ Requirements

• 15-20 years of experience, including 8+ years as a hands-on Solutions Architect focusing on designing and implementing data solutions.

• Leadership experience in consulting with external clients, possessing the ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, adapt frequently, and manage diverse projects.

• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Scala; experience in Java is advantageous.

• Familiarity with core cloud data platforms, including Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Databricks, or GCP.

• Proficient in SQL, with the capability to write, debug, and optimize SQL queries.

• Experience with modern data transformation frameworks, such as dbt (data build tool) for ELT pipeline development, testing, and documentation within cloud data warehouses.

• Proven ability to lead and manage a team consisting of Solution Architects and Data Engineers, promoting internal growth through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

• Established history of collaborating with client stakeholders, technology partners, and cross-functional sales and delivery teams across global distributed teams, ensuring seamless and successful project delivery.

• Build strong cross-practice relationships to enhance customer success.

• Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership in addressing challenges, dedicated to achieving outstanding outcomes in all aspects of project execution.

• Capable of developing end-to-end technical solutions for production, ensuring performance, security, scalability, and robust data integration.

• Strong client-facing written and verbal communication skills and experience.

• Ability to create and deliver comprehensive presentations.

• Experience in detailed solution documentation (e.g., including POCs and roadmaps, sequence diagrams, class hierarchies, logical system views, etc.).

• A 4-year Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a Master's in Computer Applications or equivalent.
