Principal Solution Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Convey the vision and technology of Snowflake to both executives and technical teams at potential clients and current customers.

• Engage directly with prospects and customers to illustrate and articulate the benefits of Snowflake technology throughout the sales process, from demonstrations to proofs of concept to design and implementation.

• Stay immersed in the rapidly changing industry landscape, keeping a thorough understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors, as well as how to effectively position Snowflake in relation to them.

• Collaborate with teams in Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to enhance Snowflake’s products and marketing efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8-12 years of experience in the industry, including at least 5 years in a pre-sales role.

• Excellent presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences, whether spontaneously on a whiteboard or through formal presentations and demonstrations.

• Over 5 years of experience in developing and implementing machine learning and generative AI solutions in cloud environments.

• Extensive knowledge of large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technologies, ETL, analytics, and cloud solutions, including Data Lake, Data Mesh, and Data Fabric.

• Proficient in SQL, SQL analytics, and Python.

• Capability to align a customer’s unique business challenges with Snowflake’s solutions.

• Skilled in conducting in-depth assessments of customer architecture frameworks and linking them with Snowflake Data Architecture.

• A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields is preferred, with equivalent experience considered. A Master's in Data Science or Business Administration is an advantage.

• Experience with Global System Integrators (GSIs) such as EY, Deloitte, or Accenture is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Willingness to be on-site with customers approximately 30% of the time.
