Principal Solution Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive discovery, data-flow mapping, and documentation of customer environments, both in-person and remotely.

• Present engaging technical presentations and product demonstrations to various stakeholders, including C-level executives, developers, DBAs, IT security personnel, and other technical or business audiences.

• Oversee and manage Proof-of-Concepts, assist in crafting RFI/RFP responses, and confirm customer requirements through direct technical involvement.

• Design, install, and configure Protegrity software solutions customized to meet customer specifications and deployment settings.

• Develop thorough solution design and project planning documents using standardized templates.

• Work in conjunction with sales teams, partners, and professional services to synchronize technical efforts with customer goals.

• Provide mentorship to fellow Solution Engineers and Services staff while continuously enhancing your expertise through certifications, hands-on labs, and staying updated on data privacy and cybersecurity trends.

• Frequently utilize cloud labs across AWS, Azure, and GCP to assess capabilities, assist with customer scenarios, and maintain precise records in CRM and other presales tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, such as 4+ years in a comparable technical position.

• Over 8 years of experience in solution engineering, consulting, presales, or technical advisory roles within data, security, privacy, AI, or related enterprise software fields.

• Proven track record of successfully leading technical engagements in intricate enterprise settings, from discovery and architecture to technical validation and alignment with executives.

• Strong grasp of enterprise architecture, cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP, hybrid deployment models, and contemporary containerized architectures.

• Proficient hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and related deployment strategies, with the capacity to discuss, validate, and troubleshoot container-based solutions with technical stakeholders.

• Practical knowledge of how businesses leverage data across analytics, applications, and AI workflows, encompassing GenAI, RAG, copilots, or agentic systems.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, documentation, and customer engagement skills, capable of interacting with both C-level executives and highly technical stakeholders.

• Strong organizational abilities, a consultative approach, focus on business outcomes, and the flexibility to continuously learn about emerging technologies, particularly AI-driven architectures and the associated security, privacy, and governance challenges.
