Principal Software Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Establish and propel a cutting-edge technical vision across various products and platforms.

• Create and introduce functionalities that encompass intelligent networking, distributed systems, real-time data processing, agentic AI, and machine learning.

• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle from architecture and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and operations.

• Facilitate technical discussions and strategy while engaging in design reviews, code reviews, and implementation processes.

• Design and construct high-performance production services, scalable data pipelines, distributed microservices, agentic solutions, and networking integrations.

• Guide and nurture engineers, set technical direction, and promote engineering excellence.

• Develop resilient, secure, observable, and scalable systems while enhancing architecture, engineering processes, performance, and operational readiness.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in the complete software development lifecycle.

• More than 5 years of programming experience.

• Proficient in at least one general-purpose programming language, ideally Python, Java, Go, or C++.

• At least 3 years of experience in leading the design and architecture of large-scale distributed systems.

• Familiarity with real-time microservices, stream processing, distributed data platforms, cloud infrastructure, AI or agentic systems, network telemetry, or large-scale analytics.

• Experience in designing high-volume, high-velocity data systems with strict scalability, availability, latency, and reliability requirements.

• Background in mentoring engineers, acting as a technical lead, or managing an engineering team.

• Capability to address complex, ambiguous technical challenges and convert them into production-ready solutions.

• Preferred experience with generative AI or agentic systems, networking, observability, telemetry, Kafka, Spark, Flink, PySpark, MapReduce, or similar technologies.
