Principal Software Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with our key customers to address intricate business and technical challenges.

• Act as the link between real-world customer requirements and the advancement of our SaaS platform.

• Conceptualize, design, and develop scalable features that enhance and broaden our core SaaS platform.

• Create full-stack solutions across the application architecture, encompassing frontend, backend, APIs, databases, integrations, and cloud services.

• Facilitate technical discovery sessions and architecture workshops with customers and internal teams to outline future solutions and implementation strategies.

• Write clean, maintainable, and type-safe code using contemporary technologies such as TypeScript, React, Next.js, and related frameworks.

• Convert customer-specific requirements into reusable platform capabilities, ensuring solutions are built for scalability rather than one-time use.

• Collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering leadership to shape product strategy, roadmap priorities, and technical direction based on customer insights.

• Design and execute secure, production-ready integrations and automated workflows that enhance customer adoption and operational efficiency.

• Advocate for engineering excellence by contributing to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, performance optimization, and platform reliability.

• Mentor engineers, set technical standards, and promote best practices that enhance the quality, consistency, and scalability of engineering across the organization.

• Continuously assess emerging technologies, architectural patterns, and development practices to enhance platform performance, maintainability, and customer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Insurtech experience is mandatory!

• Over 10 years of professional experience in full-stack or frontend development, particularly within SaaS products or startup settings.

• Exceptional communication skills; this is a client-facing role.

• Background in consultative roles—acting as a consultant/partner to end clients while being accountable for deliverables.

• Strong coding skills with demonstrated proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Java, C++, or similar languages.

• Practical experience with Next.js App Router (server components, layouts, streaming, caching).

• Familiarity with tRPC or equivalent type-safe API frameworks.

• Experience in implementing complex, data-intensive views with Tailwind and component libraries (shadcn/ui, Mantine, etc.).

• A background in UI/UX design or close collaboration with designers is highly preferred.

• Ability to design scalable systems and a solid understanding of frontend performance, state management, and accessibility.
