Principal Software Engineer Lead – Compute Control Plane

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the development of a cloud-native control plane utilizing Kubernetes and other cloud-native technologies.

• Offer technical and architectural guidance for the design, construction, and scaling of the next-generation control plane.

• Drive the transition towards a resilient, highly available, distributed microservices architecture.

• Collaborate with management and business stakeholders to define the engineering roadmap.

• Play a key role in developing enterprise features for a cloud-native platform.

• Establish best practices, disseminate knowledge, and provide mentorship to team members.

• Lead and engage with engineering teams within an Agile framework.

• Promote innovative solutions, swift development cycles, and transparent communication.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated thought leadership in Cloud Native Platform Engineering.

• Experience in building and managing highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable production services using Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.

• In-depth knowledge of containers and associated technologies.

• Proficient in Go programming language.

• Comfortable using Python or Bash for scripting purposes.

• Strong expertise in networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, and HTTP.

• Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems.

• Proficient in utilizing CI/CD tools.

• Ability to lead and work collaboratively with engineering teams in an Agile setting.
