Principal Software Engineer, Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical expert for Capsa Healthcare's advanced pharmacy software.

• Shape the architecture across cloud-native microservices, event-driven architectures, and client-facing applications.

• Design, scale, and resolve issues in production microservices.

• Create and maintain low-latency, high-throughput concurrent processing systems.

• Develop event-driven architectures and messaging solutions utilizing Kafka or similar platforms along with MassTransit.

• Implement sagas/state machines and reliable messaging frameworks.

• Create modern responsive frontends with React.js and React Native.

• Integrate REST APIs and develop and test applications for clients.

• Construct multi-tenant SaaS platforms leveraging cloud-native technologies.

• Utilize AWS, Kubernetes, containerization, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and OpenTelemetry.

• Adhere to security best practices, including HIPAA guidelines.

• Convey technical trade-offs to business and executive stakeholders.

• Report directly to the Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture.

• Travel is required approximately 20% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.

• Over 12 years of experience in software engineering.

• More than 5 years of experience in developing distributed, real-time, or high-throughput systems.

• Expert-level knowledge in .NET and C#.

• Familiarity with modern asynchronous programming techniques.

• Proven experience in designing, scaling, and troubleshooting production microservices.

• Demonstrated success in environments requiring low-latency and high-throughput concurrent processing.

• Strong practical experience with Kafka or comparable event-streaming platforms.

• Experience with MassTransit, sagas/state machines, and messaging frameworks.

• Comprehensive understanding of delivery guarantees, ordering, idempotency, deduplication, backpressure, transactional outbox, and dead-letter handling.

• Extensive hands-on experience with React.js, React Native, TypeScript, Redux Toolkit, Redux-Saga, REST API integration, responsive UI development, Jest, and React Testing Library.

• Proficient in using browser-based performance and debugging tools.

• Experience in creating multi-tenant SaaS platforms.

• Working knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, containerization, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and OpenTelemetry.

• Awareness of security best practices, including HIPAA considerations.

• Capability to effectively utilize AI coding tools.

• Strong ability to communicate technical trade-offs with business and executive stakeholders.
