Principal Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Direct the architecture and technical vision of essential platform services.

• Develop and enhance high-performance cloud-native applications and APIs.

• Guide and mentor engineers on software architecture, engineering excellence, and best practices.

• Create scalable, maintainable systems that cater to millions of users.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to execute complex technical projects.

• Influence architectural choices across various product releases.

• Enhance deployment strategies, system reliability, and overall software quality.

• Engage in hands-on software development utilizing modern technologies.

• Advocate for engineering standards, code quality, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in developing enterprise-scale software products.

• Current role as a **Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, Architect, or a similar technical leadership position.**

• Strong practical experience with:

• - Node.js

• - Python

• - Django

• - REST APIs

• - GraphQL

• Extensive experience in designing cloud-native applications on AWS.

• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and MySQL performance optimization.

• Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.

• Experience in implementing authentication and authorization solutions (OAuth2, token services, secrets management).

• Strong grasp of distributed systems and scalable software architecture.

• Experience working collaboratively with Product Managers and various engineering teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent practical experience.

• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to mentor senior engineers.

• A curious mindset, low ego, and a passion for lifelong learning.

• Must reside within **3 hours of the Eastern Time Zone (EST)** to facilitate occasional collaboration with the team.
