This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a senior individual contributor in the development and upkeep of essential enterprise web platform components, ensuring compliance with architectural standards, security best practices, and accessibility guidelines.
• Spearhead the complete design, implementation, and progression of enterprise-scale web systems that are scalable, reliable, secure, high-performing, and adhere to healthcare and accessibility standards.
• Establish and drive technical priorities, standards, and expectations, ensuring that teams have the necessary guidance, tools, and frameworks to deliver secure and accessible solutions consistently.
• Take ownership of system-wide quality attributes, including performance, reliability, security, and accessibility. Implement design reviews, code reviews, and validation practices to satisfy both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Identify architectural deficiencies and opportunities for modernization. Introduce and govern innovative technologies, patterns, and practices that enhance scalability, security posture, and accessibility compliance.
• Serve as the primary technical advisor to stakeholders, aligning engineering decisions with business strategy, risk management, security policies, and accessibility goals.
• Proactively recognize technical and operational risks, define mitigation strategies, and guide teams through complex trade-offs to maintain system stability, compliance, and delivery schedules.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, UX/UI teams, and other stakeholders to define scope, evaluate feasibility, and translate business requirements into robust, scalable, secure, and accessible technical solutions.
• Function as a senior technical authority, mentoring engineers, influencing architectural decisions, and raising the engineering standards across teams through example and influence.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, healthcare standards, accessibility guidelines (WCAG, ADA), and security best practices. Recommend forward-thinking solutions to maintain a strong competitive and compliance edge.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent substantial industry experience.
• Over 8 years of professional software engineering experience, with extensive expertise in full-stack enterprise web application development within a product-driven organization.
• Demonstrated experience in architecting, building, and delivering large-scale, high-performance, and highly available SaaS platforms.
• More than 5 years of experience in the healthcare sector, with a strong grasp of healthcare systems, data privacy, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Robust hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS), including microservices, serverless architectures, and cloud-native design patterns.
• Practical experience with modern web frameworks and platforms, such as Angular, ASP.NET, and Node.js.
• Proficient in C#/.NET and Python, with a proven history of constructing and managing high-volume, production-grade web services.
• Strong understanding of data storage technologies, including relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL systems, along with the capacity to diagnose and resolve performance and scalability challenges.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Comprehensive understanding of application security, identity and access management, and secure coding practices, with experience in building compliant systems (HIPAA, OWASP).
• Awareness of accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA) and experience in creating inclusive, accessible web applications at an enterprise level.
• AI-Driven Development: Leverage modern AI tools (e.g., CursorAI, GitHub Copilot) to expedite development, refactoring, and documentation while upholding code integrity.
• Exposure to AI/ML-enabled solutions, especially in healthcare or patient-care workflows.
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging capabilities across complex, distributed systems.
• Experience working in Agile environments and promoting DevOps practices, including CI/CD, observability, and operational excellence.
• Proven technical leadership with a strong history of mentoring engineers and influencing architectural decisions across teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of delivering practical, scalable, and innovative solutions.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A curious and ownership-oriented mindset, with a passion for understanding complex codebases and continuously enhancing system design and quality.
